PFU, the maker of FUJITSU scanners, is proud to announce that as of July 2017, global shipments of its image scanners have passed the 10 million mark(1). FUJITSU is an established leader in the document imaging industry, producing scanners recognized for superior image quality, feeding technology and hardware reliability.
PFU released its first image scanner, the U4301A flatbed scanner, in 1983(2). Since then, PFU has continued to address customers’ needs with innovative product lines and fresh models tailored to an array of uses and environments. In 2001, the release of the ScanSnap Series ushered in a new era of “One Touch” digitization, and the line now features progressive improvements such as the Wi-Fi compatible iX Series and overhead scanning SV600. PFU also developed original PaperStream software, which, bundled with fi Series scanners, improves efficiency and productivity of operation. PFU continues to respond to technological developments and capabilities with innovative products to help customers solve their pressing paper challenges.
In the 34 years since PFU sold its first image scanner, they have proven to be essential organization and business productivity tools in over 100 countries worldwide. Fujitsu scanners have become office staples, with the fi Series achieving the top position in global scanner market share(3).
